We are using Black Friday - the busiest day of the year - to raise awareness! Because animals are dying for dog food! That's why we can make a huge impact with our VEGDOG products! But it's not enough for us to save animal lives with our products - we go further. And for that, we need you!
“All that ends up in animal feed is slaughterhouse waste ” – a widespread myth. In fact, according to a large producer, 60-80% of the processed animal components are of food quality and could still have been consumed by humans. How is that possible? Animal owners are placing ever higher demands on the quality of their pets’ food and do not want to serve “waste”. At the same time, most animal owners do not want to accept that other animals are slaughtered for their animals . The legal basis that an animal component that passes through a feed plant is automatically – and regardless of its actual quality – downgraded to slaughterhouse waste unfortunately obscures the reality.

Most pet owners probably don't think about what exactly is contained in the pellets of their pet's dry food or wet food. After all, it's hard to imagine that it was once a sentient being.
In fact, 520,000,000kg of dog food is sold in Germany every year. 1.2 million cattle, 2.1 million horses, 20 million lambs and 382 million chickens are processed into it. These are unimaginably high numbers. The bad thing is that it is not necessary, as dogs can also be fed a wonderful and healthy plant-based diet without animal suffering.
But at least we are making a positive impact with our VEGDOG products and counteracting these cruel figures: In one year, we were able to save the lives of 495 cattle, 1,280 horses, 6,750 lambs and 116,000 chickens. Thanks to you, all of these animals can continue to live!
We are using Black Friday to raise awareness about the fate of all these animals! We are proud that we are not part of this industry and that we leave many animal-friendly green paw prints on the earth. But since it is not enough for us to save animal lives through our products, we want more and go one step further: we want to save more lives with you! Namely the life of a herd of mother cows. We are collecting donations for them through our animal rescue fund in order to be able to secure them a place for life. To do this, we are foregoing 40% of our sales from Black Friday to Cyber Monday: we will give you 20% as a discount and we will donate another 20% to the animals!

The cows are not our first rescue operation! We have already been able to save a whole flock of sheep from the slaughterhouse and can now count them as part of our VEGDOG family! We at VEGDOG love all animals and every life - no matter what kind - counts for us!
