Spring is the best time of year to shake off winter fatigue and start the spring fit with our delicious May punch together with your loved ones.

There are flowers and sprouts everywhere - so get out into the forest and into the fields! There you can collect the first power fruits such as strawberries and fresh wild herbs together with your dogs. Please make sure to collect in uncontaminated areas, never directly on fertilized fields or busy roads.

Young, tender nettle leaves have the highest nutrient content and taste nutty. IMPORTANT: Please wear gloves when picking and break off the stinging hairs before eating. This happens when you place the leaves between a kitchen towel and roll them back and forth vigorously with a rolling pin.

The ingredients

  • 2 tbsp VEGDOG SENSIBELCHEN No1
  • 1/2 beetroot
  • 1/2 apple with peel
  • 3-4 strawberries
  • 1/2 handful of young, tender nettle leaves
  • 1 cup of water

Please make sure that all ingredients are organic!

Strawberries: The red power berries contain many vitamins, fiber, minerals, phytochemicals and antioxidants.
Apples: They are particularly easy on the stomach and rich in fiber. Their natural sweetness makes the May punch really tasty.
Nettle: This super plant is rich in vitamin C, provitamin A, magnesium and iron. Nettle leaves have a tonic, blood-purifying and blood-building effect and really get the metabolism going.
Beetroot: Is rich in iron and contains magnesium, calcium, potassium, B vitamins, etc. WARNING: Contains a high proportion of oxalates. Please do not feed to dogs that are prone to kidney and bladder stones.

The preparation

Chop the apple, beetroot and young nettle leaves and then process them together with the other ingredients in a blender until you get a creamy mixture. If the smoothie is still too mushy, slowly add a little more water and mix until the consistency is perfect.

Tip: Tastes pretty delicious even for dog people without VEGDOG Sensibelchen! πŸ˜‰

We wish you and your favorite four-legged friends a fit start into spring!
